My Background

 

I’m currently a mechanical engineering student at Glasgow Caledonian University, where my love for problem-solving and numbers has grown even further. My academic journey has given me a deep understanding of maths, its practical applications, and the challenges students often face in mastering it.

Before tutoring, I worked as a swimming teacher for several years, where I developed my ability to break complex skills into simple, manageable steps. This experience shaped my teaching approach, ensuring that every lesson is engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs.

I know from personal experience how much of a difference the right support can make when it comes to building confidence and achieving academic success. Maths can seem daunting at first, but with the right guidance, I believe any student can excel. Seeing my students grow, improve, and reach their goals is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Originally from Dunoon, I’ve always had a love for numbers, logic, and learning. When I’m not tutoring or studying engineering, you’ll often find me swimming, exploring classic cars, or diving into a good book about politics or business.
